PCR177 Potentially Inappropriate Medication Use and Their Predictors Among Elderly Patients with Systemic Autoimmune Disorders

The data on the prevalence of potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) use and their predictors among elderly systemic autoimmune disorders is still unknown. Hence, we aimed to determine medication (PIM) patients with disorders. Patients who were admitted or visited department rheumatology in a tertiary care teaching hospital between July 2019 April 2021 included this study. any gender, aged above 60 years, diagnosed disorder (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, vasculitis psoriasis) study upon consent. A clinical pharmacist reviewed details evaluate PIM used according American Geriatric Society Beers criteria (BC). descriptive presented frequency percentage. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was identify associated use. statistical analysed using SPSS version 25. total 123 patients’ during period. Of them, 78 (63.4%) found at least one 192 PIMs identified an average 2.46 per patient. Most related older adults (n=90/192, 46%), followed by drug-disease drug-syndrome interactions (n=39/192, 20.3%) caution (n=11/192, 11.4%). Overall, majority had moderate 153/192 (79.5%), high 35/192 (18.2%) low 4/192 (2.0%) quality evidence. increased number ≥10 drugs (OR 5.36, 95% Confidence Interval: 2.40-8.72, P<000.1) as major predictor develop PIM. This revealed that common required close monitoring avoid further complications.
